Day 17 → A book you’ve read that changed your views on something. Day 18 → Your views on gay marriage.

For Day 17 it took me a while to figure out a book that changed my views on something.
And I decided after a lot of thinking, because the books I read mostly don't really make you change your views, unless it's on Vampire's or Professor Snape. So I chose:

I'm Not Myself These Days by Josh Kilmer-Purcell

It's all about this Drag Queen and it's a true story. My friend Kyle told me, "You have to read this, you will love it." And when he told me it was about drag queens...I thought....eh....I instantly thought that it would be weird and all about dancing and dressing up and being...well...a weird drag queen.
But after reading it and loving it and crying through out it. It really got to me. It surprised me in so many ways. Yes there were parts where drag queens shot jelly beans from their behinds but there was also Love. Real true love, and heart ache. And it actually made these people, these drag queens, these "weirdos", really seem relatable. So now after reading this great book, I will never think that a Drag Queen is just a weirdo man dressing up as an even weirder woman.

Day 18...
My views on Gay Marriage.
To me I don't think of it at Gay marriage or Straight marriage or anything like that. I just see it as Marriage. Which is what two people do when they are deeply in love. I think it's silly that people don't agree with it and think it's wrong. And sure they can't have conceive children but a lot of heterosexual people can't either. I feel like if we are all discriminating against gay and lesbian people getting married than soon people think it won't be right that two Ugly people get married! because they will conceive ugly children! That is what I feel could happen, since people are so narrow minded about gay marriage. Love is love. No matter who it's with. No matter what.

And a special happy birthday to Diddah, Father.
Hopefully some pictures will be coming of the festivities. If there are any!?
And speaking of pictures....I put some photographs up on Etsy for sale, they are beautiful and creative and they are for the crafters and anyone else. Anyone who has a special room where they craft then these pictures are for you! Check them out!

  2. I know! same with me! But whenever people ask what it's about and I tell them, they don't even want to read it anymore..it's sad.
